Terms of use
Last updated September 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of the International Wire Bank website and online banking service. By enrolling or signing in you agree to them.
Eligibility
The service is available to government bodies, public agencies and intergovernmental organisations, and to individuals authorised to act for them. IWB may decline or close an account if eligibility cannot be confirmed.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your sign-in details confidential and notify us immediately of any suspected misuse.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Ensure that payments you instruct comply with applicable law and sanctions requirements.
- Check beneficiary details carefully; completed transfers cannot be reversed from the portal.
Transfers and rates
Transfers are processed on the basis of the details you supply. Exchange rates are shown before you confirm and apply to the transfer as displayed. IWB may hold or decline a transfer for compliance review.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available at all times but may suspend it for maintenance or security reasons. We will give notice of planned maintenance where practicable.
Liability
To the extent permitted by the IWB charter and applicable law, IWB is not liable for losses arising from incorrect instructions, compromised credentials that you failed to protect, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post the revised version here. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
International Wire Bank is a demonstration institution. Nothing on this site is a real offer of banking services and no real money is moved.
